Before there was Your Olive Tree, there were memories — long before the products, the markets, and the dream.
I grew up in Tunisia, surrounded by olive trees, family gatherings, the scent of fresh olives during harvest season, and a culture where food was never just food. It was connection, generosity, tradition, and love.
Some of my earliest memories are under olive trees. Watching family harvest by hand. Sharing meals that lasted for hours. Seeing how something as simple as olive oil could bring people together around one table.
In Tunisia, the olive tree is more than agriculture. It is history. It is resilience. It is identity.
A new chapter in America
In 2023, I took a leap and began building something of my own in the United States. The beginning was humble — my first business was granola. A completely different product, but one that taught me everything: how to connect with customers, how to build a brand, how to show up at markets before sunrise, and how to keep believing when you are building from zero.
That journey shaped me. But deep inside, I always knew there was something more personal I wanted to create — something that truly reflected where I came from.
Bringing Tunisia to the table
As the journey evolved, I began introducing the flavors of my culture — Tunisian olive oil, harissa, shakshuka. Mediterranean tastes many were discovering for the very first time. And something beautiful happened. People connected with them, not only because they tasted good, but because they carried a story. A culture. A warmth. A heritage.
I didn’t just want to sell products. I wanted to elevate my heritage.
More than a brand
Your Olive Tree is not simply a store. It is a concept inspired by everything the olive tree represents — from premium extra virgin olive oil, to flavorful Mediterranean olives, to handcrafted olive wood creations made by skilled artisans.
The idea became simple: what if we built a brand around the entire story of the olive tree? Not a single product, but an experience. A lifestyle. A piece of the Mediterranean brought into everyday life.
A mission bigger than commerce
Back home in Tunisia, we are investing in olive tree plantations — acquiring more land, planting more trees, building a sustainable ecosystem for future generations. Beyond agriculture, it is about people: creating jobs in Tunisia while growing opportunity in the United States.
